In 2022, MIRTA completed the design, manufacturing, and installation of a two-level indoor high ropes course for the children’s entertainment center Halabuda in Kamianets-Podilskyi, Ukraine.
The ropes course is installed indoors, allowing for year-round operation regardless of weather conditions. This solution helps operators maximize the use of commercial space, maintain a consistent flow of visitors throughout the year, and increase guest dwell time within the entertainment center.
Indoor High Ropes Course Construction
MIRTA delivered the project on a turnkey basis, providing a full range of services from concept development and engineering to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
The layout was carefully designed to maximize the available indoor space. By utilizing a two-level configuration, we created a compact yet highly functional ropes course featuring a large number of challenge elements while maintaining high visitor capacity.
All structural connections, fastening systems, and safety components are manufactured from high-quality materials and comply with safety requirements for the intended age group.
Indoor High Ropes Course structure
The indoor high ropes course features 26 challenge elements arranged across two levels. Designed for children and teenagers, the course combines active play with the development of coordination, balance, agility, and endurance.
The supporting structure is built from glued laminated timber (glulam), providing excellent structural strength, durability, and an attractive natural appearance. Start, intermediate, and finish platforms are mounted on the load-bearing framework and connected by a variety of rope bridges, balance elements, and suspended obstacles.
The course incorporates galvanized steel safety cables, professional rigging hardware, polyamide ropes, and timber components. A continuous belay system ensures a high level of safety throughout the entire course, allowing participants to remain securely connected from start to finish.
The modular design allows the ropes course to be adapted to different indoor layouts, modified as operational requirements change, and expanded with additional sections in the future.
