Ninja parks

Indoor active-play facilities for children aged 6–14, combining overhead monkey bars, rings, ropes, nets, horizontal bars and other dynamic obstacles. A combination of different elements and difficulty levels allows us to create engaging routes for active play, challenges and competition.

Soft indoor obstacle course

Indoor play facilities for children aged 4–10, where they can climb, balance, step over, crawl through and overcome a variety of challenges. Softly padded elements make the course comfortable and safe to navigate. The difficulty level can be adapted to the age and physical abilities of the children.

Wooden outdoor obstacle course

Outdoor facilities featuring a sequence of varied challenges that can be completed individually or used for speed competitions. Designed for open-air installation in publicly accessible locations such as parks, public squares, residential developments and other public spaces.

During the design process, our specialists pay particular attention to the layout and flow of each route, carefully planning the sequence of different obstacle types according to the age and physical abilities of the children. To create varied and engaging courses, MIRTA offers balance beams and platforms, inclined walls, climbing walls, rope nets, climbing-over obstacles and barriers, overhead monkey bars, crawl-through openings and tunnels, as well as moving and suspended elements.

We develop the colour concept of each facility with the design and style of the venue in mind. Colours can be combined across different elements to create a cohesive visual identity or highlight specific sections of the course.

We select the difficulty level according to the age of the users:

• 4–8 years — low-height obstacles, simple transitions and elements designed to develop coordination and balance;
• 6–12 years — medium-difficulty routes with balance, rope and suspended elements;

For competitions and relay races, we recommend planning 2–4 parallel lanes with identical or equivalent obstacle sequences. This allows several participants to complete the course simultaneously, compare their results and compete for speed.

Our obstacle courses are designed to withstand regular operational loads and provide long-term durability. Safety is considered from the earliest design stage by taking applicable standards and requirements into account and carrying out quality checks on the completed structures.

For the production of obstacle courses and Ninja parks, we use reliable, durable and safe materials selected according to the type of structure and its intended operating conditions. All materials and components have the required certifications and meet established safety requirements.

• Soft indoor modules feature a core made from high-density virgin polyurethane foam, providing elasticity and impact absorption. For the covers, we use durable reinforced PVC fabric that is resistant to tearing and moisture and easy to maintain.
• Wooden elements for outdoor courses are made from durable natural timber treated for outdoor use. Protective treatments help protect the material against moisture, solar radiation and temperature fluctuations.
• Ropes and nets are used for overhead monkey bars, suspended crossings, climbing elements and balance challenges. We use durable ropes and nets designed to withstand regular loads, abrasion and intensive use.
• Climbing and suspended elements are made from durable plastics, composite materials and other wear-resistant components, depending on their intended purpose. They provide secure support and comfortable movement across different sections of the course.

For children’s facilities, we consider the applicable requirements of the EN 1176 series of European standards, including EN 1176-1 for general safety requirements and test methods. Where relevant, we also consider the requirements for impact-attenuating surfacing under EN 1177 and for installation, inspection and maintenance under EN 1176-7.
